Climate Action
Takes Root

From biodiverse forests to coastal wetlands, every Roots project is grounded in science, guided by community, and built to last.

Our Approach
to Projects

Every project begins with a simple idea: healing landscapes to protect our shared future. We select each location based on its ecological value, carbon sequestration potential, and long-term impact. We then design each science-based project plan to ensure every forest we grow restores important ecosystems.

But we don’t stop at planting. We measure, monitor, and adapt over time—tracking biodiversity, soil health, and carbon stored—so our impact endures for generations.

1000 Acres Restored
at Canard Brake

At Canard Brake in Louisiana, Roots transformed degraded farmland into a thriving forest. Over 310,000 native trees and a seeded understory now anchor the land—designed to sequester 163,900 metric tons of carbon and restore habitat.

What’s Next

Roots is actively planning the next wave of reforestation projects—focused on flood-prone, degraded, or ecologically sensitive lands. Each site will be selected for its climate impact potential, biodiversity value, and long-term benefit to local communities.

While details are still taking shape, future projects will continue our commitment to nature-based solutions, science-backed restoration, and enduring protection of restored ecosystems.
